QCT 1 – Get a Notebook to Help Build Your Confidence

Our first tip to help build your confidence is a simple but necessary one: buy a notebook.

Tony Robbins once said;

“If something is worth doing, it’s worth recording”

And, I’m sure you’ll agree that improving your confidence and self-esteem is something worth doing, right?

How can a notebook help build your confidence?

Once you’ve got your notebook, you can use it to record your experiences and monitor your progress.

A Notebook can help build your confidenceObviously, you can use this notebook in anyway you choose, but here’s my suggestions to get you off to a quick start…

  • Begin by putting the Date on each entry you make.
  • Write a few lines about any situation that had an impact on your confidence, or self-esteem. Include how it made you feel and identify any emotions that surfaced for you.
  • Use that info to help build your confidence, by trying to discover why you think that emotion surfaced, and how you might be able to counter it, if the same situation happens again.

Finish by answering two questions…

  1. What one thing, did I learn today?
  2. What am I grateful for today?

Your notebook will become a good friend, teacher and confidant, so keep it near you, consult it every day and update it regularly.

  • You could also work your way through the Quick Confidence Tips, and note down how they worked out for you.
  • Make a commitment to spending some time on this process every day, even if it’s just for ten minutes.
  • Look back on your entries every day, or at the very least, once per week. Be proud of the things you’ve achieved.

Just 10 minutes per day reading, learning, thinking, etc. adds up to over 60 valuable hours of confidence building activity a year from now.

If you devoted 30 minutes per day, you’d build up 182.5 hours in a year – that’s almost 23 working days! Can you think of a better investment for your future?

Get yourself a notebook and start your journey today.
